About the Program:
Intro-to-STAR is our bridging program between CanSkate and STARSkate, it will help skaters to transition from CanSkate and work towards the STARSkate program. Skaters in this program may enter fun events/competitions throughout the year.
This is a fun-filled, high-energy group lesson designed to keep skaters encouraged and moving! Skaters are taught by a 100% NCCP Certified Coach who will teach figure skating jumps, spins and movement while helping skaters master their remaining CanSkate skills. Ribbons and stage badges will be awarded as earned!
Children who reach the readiness level for Intro-to-STAR during the course of CanSkate can be moved to Intro-to-STAR. Parents/Guardians will be notified in advance of the move. Session fees vary between the two programs.
Payments can be made by cash, cheque or e-transfer. Optional payment plan of 5 equal payments (cheque or e-transfer only: dated the 1st of the month, October to February) is available.
SRSC skating families can apply for funding assistance for skating programming through KidSport Manitoba and/or Canadian Tire’s JumpStart program, please visit both links for the online applications and to see if you qualify.
